EPhEU endorses the Joint Statement on ePI issued by CPME, PGEU, BEUC, AGE, HOPE, AIM, EFN, and EAHP, advocating for the continued availability of paper package leaflets alongside digital formats.

We emphasize that paper leaflets are an inclusive and accessible source of medicine information, especially for vulnerable populations affected by age, disability, digital exclusion, or social and health inequalities.

Additionally, we stress the need to safeguard patient privacy when using digital tools. Online access to product information must not require sharing personal data or interacting with third-party applications that could exploit health data for promotional purposes.

EPhEU urges legislators to take these arguments into account and protect equal access and data security for all patients.
